Job Brief

We are looking for a Production Manager to supervise the daily Production Facility operations

Production Manager position includes supervising and working with the head distiller and production staff to package all MCD products. This includes overseeing the creation and packaging of all canned products, maintaining a fully-stocked inventory and complying with safety and cleanliness standards. To be successful in this role, you should be able to manage our production staff and guide them to deliver quality products on time. Ultimately, you will ensure all products are properly made to ensure our customers have a pleasant “Maine Craft Experience”.

YOU WILL:

?   Hire, train, schedule and manage an efficient canning team

?   Partner with Founder and oversee all canning operations and canning line maintenance

?   Monitor recipes, ingredients, filtrations and final blends

?   Partner with Founder in improving the canning and production processes to ensure high quality production and experiences

?   Lead by example in keeping a clean and safe work environment

?   Oversee the transport of product with distributors

?   Develop and enforce in-house policies to maintain the company’s high-quality standards as well as ensure company meets or exceeds all regulatory requirements

?   Safely operate a forklift

?   Develop “one-page” training documents for each position on the canning line.

?   Document the best-practices canning process for MCD

?   Build trusted relationships with key partners and stakeholders

• Inventory tracking, management and ordering

• Manage the shipping and receiving of raw materials and finished goods

YOU HAVE:

?   Passionate entrepreneurial mindset with exceptional organizational and leadership skills

?   Innate mechanical abilities and problem-solving skills

?   Direct experience with this canning line, brewing or distilling experience is a plus 

?   Dynamic presence with excellent communication and public speaking skills

?   Minimum 2-years of experience in Brewery/Distillery packaging operation

?   Ability to lift 50 pounds and comfortable working in a physically demanding work environment

?   Ability to effectively communicate, be a team player and maintain a positive attitude

?   A valid driver’s license and good driving record
