A slight warmup begins Wednesday in the Mile High City and will last through Thursday. But the more moderate midweek temperatures could give way to snow later in the week.
According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, Wednesday’s high temperature in Denver will reach 43 degrees under mostly sunny skies. As has been usual in recent days, temperatures will drop into the high teens overnight. Windy conditions are possible across the Front Range.
It’s more of the same Thursday, with the high projected to be 47 degrees under mostly cloudy skies and a nighttime low of 23 degrees.
There is a 40% chance for snow on Friday, Denver weather forecasters predict, with a high of 38 degrees. The weather system will bring more light snow accumulations and slick travel conditions. Potential snow accumulations will mostly range between 2-4 inches in mountains with an inch or so falling on the plains.
The much-needed precipitation could kick off a beautiful weekend with few clouds and a Sunday high in the 50s.
