Xiao Lanterns are essential to experiencing everything the Lantern Rite event has in store for Genshin Impact. This guide will show players how they can craft them. The Lantern Rite event is a limited-time event in the game and potentially one of its biggest. Players will need to be at least Adventure Rank 23 and have completed both "Of the Land Amidst Monoliths" and "Alatus Chapter" quests. Once these are done, players are able to participate in all the events fun quests and obtain all of its unlockable goodies. One of the biggest of the bunch is the ability to claim a specific 4-star character from the event banner. This guide will show players how they can craft Xiao Lanterns.

Xiao Lanterns are needed in order to participate in the game's Theater Mechanicus challenges. Completing these challenges will reward the player with Peace Talismans, the main currency for this event. As mentioned, the game will provide the player with a free 4-Star character, but only if they are able to collect 1000 Peace Talismans before the event is over. The Theater Mechanicus challenges range in difficulty as the more challenging the mission, the higher the reward. Although to enter these missions, players will need to provide a Xiao Lantern as an entry free. This guide will show players how they can craft them.

How To Craft Xiao Lanterns in Genshin Impact

Xiao Lanterns are broken down into 3 different parts. Fortunately, obtaining them all shouldn't be too hard, and for those who have played Genshin Impact more times than they can count, they should already have the proper resources in their inventory. Here is everything that is needed to craft it.

Plaustrite Shard: Obtained from Ores, Geovishap Hatchlings, Stonehide Lawachurls, and Geovishaps.
Wick Material: Obtained from Hilichurl enemies and Fatai Elites.
Lantern Fiber: Obtained from plants like berries and mint.

Once the player has enough (they should try and grind for these, at least for this event) they can head over to an Alchemy Table. It will cost the player 50 Mora to craft this item. It's important to mention that when submitting a Xiao Lantern to participate in the Theater Mechanicus challenges, regardless of how well or badly the player performs, they will not get it back. It's important to make a bunch to save yourself some time. Collecting those 1000 Peace Talismans shouldn't take too long since the heftier challenges give more rewards. Participate in this event before it comes to a close.
