North Ridgeville seniors show off talents at holiday craft show - cleveland.com

NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio -- Seniors in North Ridgeville work on crafts all year round for their Holiday on the Ridge Senior Center Holiday Craft Show.

Since their show was canceled last year, as were many holiday events in most cities due to the pandemic, one wonders if there will be twice as many handmade goodies at this year’s show.

If so, there will likely be a bonanza of gifts available for most members of any family who want to stop by to shop.

The show takes place at the North Ridgeville Office for Older Adults from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 4.

This is a show not to miss: The talents and skills of the seniors are truly awesome, as anyone knows who has ever attended a show in previous years.

Information from Emily Lockshine, the new director of the center, gives some detail on what visitors will see this year. Items will include crocheted items, purses, jewelry, Lake Erie sea glass art, woodworking, cookies, lamps, wine stoppers, appetizer-type serving utensils and more.

And as someone who simply wouldn’t miss this show this year for Christmas shopping, it is true that Lockshine really means “more.”

Admission to the show is only $1. Children younger than 4 are admitted free.

As if all of this isn’t enough, what seniors would let visitors leave without a hospitality snack? So, hot chocolate and light food will be available, and there will also be door prizes.
