MECOSTA COUNTY — It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas with holiday craft shows and bazaars abound. Whether you head out on Black Friday, wait until Small Business Saturday, or even later, there’s a craft show somewhere in Mecosta County for the crafty inclined. Here are a few to choose from.
Artwork's Holiday Market: Artworks kicked off the season of crafting with its annual Holiday Market. Creations from local artists will be on sale from Nov. 15 through Dec. 24. Shop during normal hours of operation, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, or at its Home for the Holiday event from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 16. Artworks is at 106 N. Michigan Ave., Big Rapids.
Black Friday Craft and Vendor Sale: Crafters and vendors will be at the Mecosta Township Hall from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26. Mecosta Township Hall is at 19729 11 Mile Road, Big Rapids.
Small Business Saturday Bazaar: St. Mary's is hosting a holiday bazaar from 10 a.m. to 3 pm. Saturday, Nov. 27. St. Mary’s Parish Center is at 919 Marion Ave., Big Rapids.
Canadian Lakes Christmas Craft Show: More than 35 vendors will be on hand at the Canadian Lakes Association annual Christmas Craft Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, at the Castle, on Pere Marquette Drive, Canadian Lakes. In addition to handmade items, lunch will be available for purchase, courtesy of Phatt Matt's.
Morley Christmas Craft Bazaar: Morley Community Center is hosting its second annual Christmas Craft Bazaar from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4. All items will be handmade, according to its website. Morley Community Center is at 151 E. 7th St., Morley, off of Northland Drive.
St. Mary-St. Paul Christmas Bazaar: The weekend of Dec. 4-5, St. Mary Parish Center will host the St. Mary-St. Paul Christmas Bazaar, featuring a raffle, handmade crafts, a bake sale and book sale, jewelry and holiday decorations. Luncheon on Saturday; pancake breakfast Sunday. Event runs 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, and 8:30-11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, at St. Mary Parish Center, 919 Marion Ave., Big Rapids.
