Stan Hywet to host 54th annual Ohio Mart artisan craft fair Oct. 7-10 in Akron - cleveland.com

AKRON, Ohio – Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens is hosting the 54th annual Ohio Mart artisan craft fair Thursday, Oct. 7 through Sunday, Oct. 10.

The four-day showcase features more than 120 artists offering photography, ceramics, jewelry, wearable art and gourmet food for purchase. In addition, Vintage Finds and Curious Goods will offer unusual and collectible items for sale and Molly’s Boutique will sell fine apparel. Stan Hywet’s Garden Committee will sell dried flower arrangements created from flowers grown in Stan Hywet’s Great Garden.

Ohio Mart will also feature the 47th Stitchery Showcase in the Manor House Reception Hall, which is produced by the Stan Hywet Needlework Guild. The exhibit is non-juried and includes counted thread, canvas, surface stitchery, beading and hand quilting.

Local food vendors and bakeries will offer lunchtime fare and Ohio Mart favorite hot gingerbread, along with craft beer and wine.

Ohio Mart hours are:

• 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Thursday, Oct. 7 through Saturday, Oct. 9
• 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 10

Tickets must be purchased online and are $10 for adults, $4 for youth ages 6-17 and free for children ages 5 and younger. Combo tickets, which include a self-guided tour of the Manor House, are $16 for adults and $5 for youth.

Parking is available for $5 cash on the Great Meadow. Free parking is available offsite with a free shuttle on Oct. 9-10. Stan Hywet will post parking locations on its website in early October.

Stan Hywet is asking attendees to wear masks in all indoor spaces at the estate and social distance in the gardens and on the grounds.

Event proceeds will benefit Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens.
