Crowds turn out for return of summer craft fair in Red Bluff - Red Bluff Daily News

RED BLUFF — The Sizzling Summer Spectacular craft fair returned Saturday after a year off, drawing a large number vendors and shoppers.

Organizer Jackie Myers, of Red Bluff, said there were 35 vendors and, by 2 p.m., around 200 visitors at the Red Bluff Community Center. Proceeds from a basket drawing benefit Tehama Together, which performs various community service projects.

Stephanie Hardcastle, of Shingletown, said she was happy to be back after a year off. She was seeing a lot of interest Saturday in her essential oils, body products, lip balms and lotions offering pain relief.

At Jelly by Ellie, Ellen Janowitz, of El Camino, was selling her jams, jellies and syrups, including plum syrup. Saturday was her first time back at a craft fair since the pandemic shutdown, but she has been at the Saturday farmers market at River Park, which remained open.

Teri Beagan, of Lake California, was displaying her fused glass creations while her daughter, Rochelle Roberts, was selling 3D printed items. The pair said this was their second craft show since they resumed and they were happy with the robust turnout.

Keith Soules, of Red Bluff, was at the Keri’s Kreations display he was working with his girlfriend Keri Barley. The couple offered bird houses, solar flowers, wind chimes and decorative products, almost entirely created out of recycled materials.

Soules said this was the third show back and he noticed an uptick in business following the shutdown, with customers willing to spend more.

The next craft fair at the community center is scheduled for Dec. 11.
