The annual ConVal High School craft fair, hosted by ConVal’s Class of 2022, took place on Nov. 13 and raised $2,680.
The money will go toward a senior trip, prom, class gift and senior-year activities. The event made less money compared to past craft fairs due to the 55-vendor maximum that was set to adhere to district COVID protocols, but many in attendance agreed that the event was a success.
“The craft fair is a great tradition,” class president Nicholas DiNino said. “We love doing it every year.”
DiNino said the funds will go toward a great prom and senior year, after seeing many events last year canceled due to COVID.
As there has not been a ConVal craft fair since 2019, this year’s event was highly anticipated by the senior class and crafters alike. Josh DeNapoli of the 4:44 Candle Company has sold his soy candles at the event for several years.
“I was here two years ago, and obviously we didn’t have it last year, so I’ve been really looking forward to it,” DeNapoli said.
DeNapoli said the large turnout of shoppers helped boost his sales.
Another crafter, Kate Treshinsky of Minervas Macrame, sold her handmade goods at the craft fair for the first time this year.
“I think it’s awesome,” Treshinsky said. “It’s a great turnout. There’s a lot of great vendors here.”
