KHOU 11 meteorologist Chita Craft was just returning to work from maternity leave when the pandemic hit in March.
She went from reporting the weather in studio with a team of journalists to doing it solo, in studio. Social distancing changed everything.

"We're healthy. I’m thankful for that. I’m thankful I still have my job. .. .Then there are some days where it is really depressing, and you can’t even believe that this is real life." she said.
On the sunny side, Craft, who is the fifth woman named Chita in her family, says her 3-year-old son and 7-month-old daughter (also named Chita) are closer than ever. Craft also has cleaned up her eating habits after spending the first few pandemic months munching on chips and Goldfish crackers, she said.
We talked with Craft about life now and how she's weathering the pandemic storm. Check out the video above.
