How to Craft Weapons, Clothing, Mods, and More

Crafting can be done at any time in Cyberpunk 2077 as it is done through your main menu. To find this section, open your menu and navigate to the Crafting tab.

You'll see all of the items that you can craft on the left side of the screen. There are also categories across the top if you want to specifically look at weapons, clothing, mods, and more.

Items with a red background cannot be crafted, as you lack the required components or materials needed at this time.

Select a valid item that you want to craft and you'll be shown a preview screen showing you the components needed near the bottom, as well as potential stats and attributes for that specific item.

Click and hold the Craft button at the bottom to build the item.

How to Upgrade Weapons, Clothing, Mods, and More

Similar to crafting, you can also choose to upgrade existing items in your inventory including weapons, clothing, mods, and more.

To access the upgrades section, open your menu and navigate to the Crafting tab. Then, select Upgrades in the next submenu.

In this section you'll see all of the upgradeable items in your inventory on the left side of the screen. Select an item that you want to upgrade and you'll see a preview on the right side of the screen showing what the expected stats of the item will be after upgrading, as well as required components or materials needed to upgrade.

Click and hold the Upgrade button at the bottom to confirm the change.

If you lack the needed resources or level to complete the upgrade, the Upgrade button will read Blocked.

Where to find Item and Upgrade Components

Components are essential for crafting and upgrading your weapons and gear in Cyberpunk 2077. Thankfully, they are abundant and can be found just about anywhere.

The easiest way to acquire components is to disassemble your existing weapons and gear that you don't want. By doing this, you'll receive a portion of crafting components back that can be used for something else.

Alternatively, you can loot crafting components in the world. Look out for containers containing these components as you explore Night City, as they are usually hidden in plain sight.

Lastly, you can purchase item and upgrade components from most vendors.
