ketokdepan.blogspot.com
First it was Highway 70 and now a portion of Highway 162 (the Quincy-Oroville Highway) past Bucks Lake is closed due to crack in the asphalt surface of the roadway, giving Plumas County residents one less route of the area.
The closure on Highway 162 extends from Big Creek Road on the Bucks Lake side to Brush Creek on the Oroville side. It’s unknown at this time when it will reopen.
As for Highway 70, it is closed from Jarbo Gap to the Greenville Wye. According to the latest from Caltrans, crew are assessing the major slide located at the Plumas County line and will be assigning a contractor to begin the cleanup. There is no estimated time to reopen the highway.
