Sewickley UMC Luncheon
The Sewickley United Methodist Church is hosting its popular monthly luncheon in person or as take-out on 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Nov. 4 in the church’s social hall. Light Up Your Neighborhood with Sewickley Boy Scouts
Boy Scouts from Sewickley Troop 243 are continuing the tradition of selling luminaria kits for the holiday season. Each kit contains 10, five-inch candles, 10 white paper bags and a bag of sand. The price is $14/kit, by check or PayPal. Orders will be taken through Dec. 6, with delivery to local homes on Dec. 11. Election Day Soup ‘n Salad
Little Hill U.M. Church, located at 2350 Magee Road Ext. in Franklin Park/Sewickley, will hold its Soup ‘n Salad dinner from 4-7 p.m. on Nov. 2.
Craft Show
The Ladies Guild Craft Show will be held 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Nov. 13 at Archangel Gabriel School in McKees Rocks, There will be crafts, food, a bake sale and a 50/50 raffle.
Sewickley Wine Walk
The Sewickley Valley Chamber of Commerce’s 11th annual Wine Walk is set for Nov. 3. Attendees will be able to experience 30 choice wines as they walk the streets of Sewickley’s business district. Early bird tickets are $35. Only 50 tickets will be available at the door on a first-come, first-served basis. Food purchases are not included in the ticket price. Turkey Trot
Registration is open for Sewickley Valley YMCA’s annual Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25.
A joint project of Heritage Valley Health System Foundation and Sewickley Valley YMCA, proceeds benefit the YMCA’s Faith in Action program. Register by Nov. 1 to receive a long-sleeve Turkey Trot shirt.
Train for the Turkey Trot by signing up for the Leetsdale Snowflake Classic, which takes place Nov. 6 at Henle Park.

St. Matthew A.M.E. Zion Church open house
Over the past two years, the community has been an integral part of an ambitious renovation project at St. Matthew A.M.E. Zion Church. The church invites the community to stop in for an open house from 1-4 p.m. Oct. 31, to tour the progress. Light refreshments will be served. The church is located at 345 Thorn St. in Sewickley. Rummage Sale
The United Methodist Women in Sewickley will host a Rummage Sale for Missions 3-7 p.m. Nov. 5 and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 6 in the lower level of the Sewickley United Methodist Church, located at 337 Broad St. Gently used household items, seasonal clothing, boots, shoes, books and Christmas items will be available.
