Peoria (HOI) -- The Warehouse District might be the place you go to let your creative side.
Jodie and Cliff Vieira are taking the wraps off their business, called Crafted DIY Studio and Bar. The idea is to sip on a beverage while you work on one of more than a dozen projects.
"It was a labor of love," Jodie Vieira said. "We've put in many hours. Baldovin Construction has been fantastic helping us renovate, but Cliff and I have also spent many hours putting our heart and soul into renovating this space."
They have eight craft beers on draft, and a selection of wine and cocktails (with fruits and "simple syrups" made in house). Also, one dollar from every drink sold goes to one of three local charities; the customer gets to pick which one.
Jodie Vieira says their staff will walk everyone through the projects, and it's tailored to everyone's ability level. The projects take between 1-2.5 hours to complete.
They offer classes Thursdays-Sundays. If you'd like to give it a try, click here to sign up for a class time.
