Following in the footsteps of two feature-length films, a local production company’s new series documenting Pennsylvania’s craft beer industry is en route to Poured in Pennsylvania’s YouTube channel.
The first five episodes of “Poured in PA: The Series” will drop on June 1 and were produced by GK Visual in Harrisburg, creators of “Poured in Pennsylvania” and “Brewed in the Burg.”
You can subscribe to get notified when the series is live and new episodes are added. All five episodes will be available to watch for free on Monday. The series is expected to move to Amazon Prime Video sometime during the coming weeks.
“The members of Pennsylvania’s craft beer industry share a common goal - to put our state on the map as a leader in brewing,” said Nate Kresge, GK Visual’s executive producer and co-owner. “We are proud to share these stories that showcase the strong and unique individuals that comprise this group.”
The series will continue where the “Poured in PA” film left off, highlighting those who shape the state’s craft beer industry including brewers, owners, designers, farmers and influencers.
The first five episodes, hosted by Danielle Hartman, tell one or more stories related to Pennsylvania’s craft beer community. The segments close out with “A Brewery Spotlight,” a brief overview of an individual brewery.
Kresge recently told Jason Cercone of Breaking Brews the series documents a little bit of everything, from Harrisburg Beer Week to breweries that cater to families with their kids and dogs and a resort in the Poconos with its own brewery.
“We try and tell stories, as opposed to a big over-arching look at Pennsylvania beer,” Kresge said.
GK Visual received a Mid-Atlantic Emmy nomination for “Poured in Pennsylvania.”
