Next weekend kicks off the first of two Zwickelmanias, open houses at more than 100 breweries for tastings and behind-the-scenes tours. Zwickelmania’s first Saturday, on Feb. 15, will feature Portland-area breweries. The next Saturday, Feb. 22, will see events at breweries in central Oregon, the Columbia River Gorge, the Oregon Coast, southern Oregon and the Willamette Valley. The events run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. both Saturdays.
The 12th annual Zwickelmania will also feature the release of State of Excitement 2020, a collaboration beer created by 30 breweries across Oregon. Cans of the West Coast IPA will be available at breweries participating in Zwickelmania. For more details on Zwickelmania, go to the Facebook page of the Oregon Brewers Guild, which organizes the monthlong celebration.
Also on Saturday, Feb. 15, Migration Brewing is celebrating its 10-year anniversary in conjunction with Zwickelmania. Migration has renovated its original Glisan Street pub, where a new 18-tap system doubles its beer offerings. Migration brewed 10 collaboration beers with some of the biggest-name breweries in the area. Those will be offered starting at 11 a.m.
