Thursday was supposed to be spent at Miller Park, watching the Milwaukee Brewers on Opening Day.
"First and foremost, we're Brewers fans, and what a bummer it was that Opening Day was going to pass by," said Krista Bach, owner of Rec Room Craft Company.
That's how Krista got the idea to host a free drawing class on Facebook.
That said, the number of people interested did surprise her.
"The last time I checked, we were over 2,000, and we just posted the event on Tuesday. I think there is just, it's capturing the spirit of Milwaukee always connects as a city on this day, Milwaukee and beyond," says Krista.
With the help of her mom, Karen, Krista hopes these classes turn into some business.
"No one tells you when you start a business that you are not going to pay yourself for a very long time. Literally, every penny that I've made so far has gone back into the business," said Krista.
You can purchase adult craft kits online. Kids kits are coming this weekend.
"It will be a lot of painting, we have dye cuts for kids to paint and we will have canvases that my mom will be hand drawing designs," said Krista.
To her faithful customers that have shown their support, Krista says thank you, we're open.
