Eau Claire craft beer shop hosting virtual tasting event - WQOW TV News 18

Eau Claire (WQOW)- A local craft beer store is going virtual to share the tastes of their favorite brews.

Growler Guys in Eau Claire is teaming up with several other breweries in Minnesota and Iowa for a virtual event Wednesday to market their products to the community.

The craft beer shop typically holds tasting events in the store but they are now moving the event online due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

The event will showcase virtual tours of the brewery taprooms and viewers can enter drawings to win prizes.

The shop's owners say they are looking to bring back a sense of community to beer lovers that they felt before the pandemic.

"People are a little bit stressed out," said Greg Haugen, co-owner of the Growler Guys. "It's nice to have something that is common and relatable and be a stress reliever at least just for a little bit."

The store is also continuing to sell craft beer in bottles and cans for curbside pick-up. You can learn more about the event here.
