FLINT, MI-- Flint Handmade is hosting its 13th annual Spring Craft Market virtually through Facebook this year.
Flint Handmade is an event-based non-profit organization that encourages creative expression and commerce in Flint through handcrafting, according to its website. Each year they organize two large craft markets, among other events.
The market showcases dozens of Flint and Genesee County artists every year featuring a variety or handmade jewelry, knitwear, bath and beauty products and more.
“We wanted to continue to support local artisans and keep everyone safe. This is the first time we have ever offered a virtual craft market and it’s going really well," said Crystal Pepperdine, executive director.
The market will be available as a Facebook event until 8 p.m. on May 2.
More than 40 artists and their small businesses are featured on the event page, with each artist sharing samples of what they have available. Some artists are offering special discounts on their products during the market.
