CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - May 10 through May 16 is American Craft Beer Week. Five Casper breweries are collaborating for a beer crawl on Saturday, May 15 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Ty Martinez, Owner and head brewer at Skull Tree Brewing, is excited for this week because he can connect to community members. “One great way to connect is through a pint of beer,” Martinez said.
Skull Tree Brewing is planning on releasing new kinds this week like a mango green tea ginger sour and a blonde with toasted coconut oil and vanilla. They are releasing about 10 new batches this week that could be brought back depending on community response.
Skull Tree is also partnering with the Wyoming Food for Thought project and bringing back their American Red Ale. Martinez made this beer out of hops grown by the Wyoming Food for Thought project.
“It’s been great working as a team. We are excited to be showcasing that again,” Martinez said.
Other breweries in town are celebrating this week. Frontier brewery and taproom is having 10 beers on tap Thursday, May 13 from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Mountian Hops brew house released an Orange Creamsicle slushy flavor and brought back their Perky Porter beer.
Gruner Brothers Brewing is bringing out their Hell’s Hef Acre Hefeweizen on Friday. All of these places will be participating in the crawl on Saturday.
