Hello, and welcome to the POR Craft Beer Minute! My name is Sean – I work in the sales department at ‘POR and consider myself a local brew aficionado! I’ll be here helping you explore Maine’s local breweries two beers at a time.
Next Up: Bateau Brewing
Our next brewery in this series is Bateau Brewing. I don’t know if it was the great beers, great service, or the wonderful view of the Kennebec river but I loved this place. They have a real focus on sourcing local ingredients.
- Port 44: Coming in a 6.2% ABV, this Coffee Vanilla Porter uses local roasted coffee by 44 North Coffee in Deer isle Maine. Strong coffee flavor, and subtle vanilla make this a great brunch beer!
- Berry Matters: Coming in at 4.3% ABV, this blueberry gose was brewed using fruit from Allen’s in Ellsworth. The balance of sweetness and tartness is perfect.
