Sergio Aguero: The ridiculous statistics - Football365.com

Sergio Aguero broke or equalled three different records – two Premier League landmarks and one club record – with his hat-trick on against Chelsea on Sunday.

By stroking home a second-half penalty, the Manchester City star equalled Alan Shearer's record of 11 Premier League hat-tricks.

Against the beleaguered Blues, Aguero became only the sixth player to score or assist 200 goals for one club in the Premier League, joining Wayne Rooney, Ryan Giggs, Thierry Henry, Frank Lampard, and Steven Gerrard.

Aguero now sits in eighth place in the Premier League all-time top scorers list. Barring injury, he should move up to sixth before the end of the season:

1) Alan Shearer – 260 goals
2) Wayne Rooney – 208 goals
3) Andy Cole – 187 goals
4) Frank Lampard – 177 goals
5) Thierry Henry – 175 goals
6) Robbie Fowler – 163 goals
7) Jermain Defoe – 162 goals
8) Sergio Aguero – 160 goals
9) Michael Owen – 150 goals
10) Les Ferdinand – 149 goals

Goals per Premier League minute (minimum 50 appearances)

1) Mohamed Salah – 51 goals at a rate of one every 119 minutes
2) Harry Kane – 122 goals at a rate of one every 122 minutes
3) Sergio Aguero – 160 goals at a rate of one every 125 minutes
4) Thierry Henry – 175 goals at a rate of one every 132 minutes
5) Ruud van Nistelrooy – 95 goals at a rate of one every 138 minutes
6) Luis Suarez – 69 goals at a rate of one every 143 minutes
7) Diego Costa – 52 goals at a rate of one every 151 minutes
8) Alan Shearer – 260 goals at a rate of one every 153 minutes
9) Ian Wright – 113 goals at a rate of one every 169 minutes
10) Gabriel Jesus – 26 goals at a rate of one every 171 minutes

* Aguero also claimed a new club landmark on Sunday, with his three-goal haul moving him beyond Eric Brook and Tommy Johnson (both 158) to become City's highest goalscorer in the top flight.

* Aguero already held City's overall goalscoring record and now on 222 goals for the club, he is 45 clear of Brook and 56 clear of Johnson.

* Despite his previous differences with Pep Guardiola, he is scoring more often for the Spaniard compared to any of his previous City managers:
