Manchester United 'WILL' appoint Solskjaer. Apparently. - Football365.com

Manchester United have made a final decision over their vacant managerial position.

The Sun report that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 'WILL' (their block capitals, not ours) get the job on a permanent basis.

Neil Custis truly sticks his neck and proud reputation on the line by saying 'the decision has been made at board level, although the club may not announce it until the end of the season'. Which is convenient.

The club are 'now convinced they have the right man' in Solskjaer, with ten wins and one draw in 11 games certainly helping.

United 'are publicly sticking to the mantra' that their mission to replace Jose Mourinho with a long-term appointment is 'ongoing'.

But co-owner Avram Glazer's appearance in the Craven Cottage stands for the club's 3-0 win over Fulham, and subsequent meeting with Solskjaer's agent Jim Solbakken, is reportedly an indication of their future plans.

Mauricio Pochettino was the club's first choice if they could prise him from Tottenham, but 'that plan has changed on the back of Solskjaer's dramatic impact'.

If he is appointed, it would hardly be a massive surprise. If he is not, this will be a rather hilarious premature blowing of loads.
