WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE) - One West Monroe teen is taking arts and crafts to another level.

16-year-old Rylee Daniel has been making custom crafts for over a year. Now she's putting her skills to the test to help frontline medical workers.
"I heard a story about a nurse's ears were getting raw," Daniel said.
Rylee's Crafty Creations is known for custom decals, wreaths, and other items, and now "ear savers."
"Hey I have the materials I have the stuff that can make it, so why not do something good," she said.
Daniel found an SVG template, purchased some folders, and put her Cricut craft machine to work. In the last week, she's made over 150 ear savers.
After she mastered the first few batches, she took to the Facebook group "NELA Needs" to share with members in the group.
Between her post and her grandmother reaching out to the director of nurses at a local hospital, Daniels connected with three hospitals in need. Those include St. Francis, Glenwood, and Conway.
Daniel said as long as she has the supplies she'll meet the demand for health care workers in need.
"Anywhere that I can send them to even if I can just send them to some places and even after all of this is over it's not going to hurt to still make them and donate them for the people that risk their lives for us," she said.
